As part of group 12 it is my role to piece the overall archicad model together, making sure elements within the building all work with one another. I went through the building with a fine tooth comb, adjusting all of the finer details like junctions between walls and slabs etc, and all the errors within the model.
Some of these adjustments included wall heights, intersections within walls and slabs, floating landscape, floating objects, readjusting sizes of rooms and passageways. There were also issues where flooring within the house, and outdoor decking were at different heights.
In addition to the tasks I wasresponsible for, I also aided in the redesign of the second story structure. With this we went for a contrasting modern look to the already critical regionalist feel to the building. It was primarily the north facade of this upper story structure that was challenging, creating a contrasting diverse structure that complimented the rest of the building.
Within the final stages of the project it was my responsibility within the team to complete the analogue drawings. These included the floor plans, elevations and sections, and with these I organised an appropriate layout onto master sheets prepared by Nas Bazuhair. In this process I used Photoshop to organise the drawings along with headings and scales.
